Google Fitbit app redesign

At Google Fitbit I primarily focused on the redesign of the new Fitbit app to fit the Google ecosystem and new Material 3 design language. I worked closely as with a fellow product designer and a systems designer to complete the following projects:

● Redesign and systemize how users view and log their health & fitness data; consolidating 50+ bespoke pages to 4 templates. The templates saved an estimated 310 weeks of engineering time and developed feature consistency.

● Update the Fitbit charts and data visualization to a new Google library making tactical updates to improve comprehension, scalability, and accessibility

● Design the new nutrition, and menstrual health experiences for the new Fitbit app.

Celebrations framework

One of my biggest passions at Fitbit was developing a celebration framework designed to foster behavior change among users. Working closely with a motion designer, I created new goal completion celebrations on the dashboard and established a framework dictating the timing and manner of celebrations, to avoid over and under celebrating users' achievements

Sleep bio

I designed the first version of the Sleep bio, collaborating closely with the R&D team to advocate for its inclusion in the Product roadmap. My designs, envisioning how the feature would be displayed in the app, contributed to its prioritization and it went on it to become one of the most successful Premium offerings.

Expanded exercise tile

I designed improvements for the Fitbit dashboard focusing on features that would increase engagement as well as improve users health goals. One feature I ran expanding the exercise tile and displaying a breakdown of heart zones, saw increases in app engagement & stickiness, and decreases in user’s resting heart rates.
